What is EasyToken?

EasyToken is a simple and secure way to pass your contact information to another smart phone. You can share your name, phone number, address, and more. Trading a contact is as easy as selecting it and choosing how much information you want to share. EasyToken generates a secure token (an encrypted barcode) onto your phone. The person accepting the contact, scans the token with their phone using the EasyToken app. Once your contact is received, they can easily send their contact back to you.

What is a Token?

A token is a secure, uniquely generated Quick Reference Code (QR Code) that is used to initiate a EasyToken sharing session. A token is only valid for a short period of time. A token acts as a place holder for something else, in this case your contact information, that way protecting the information that is to be shared.

What is the Quick Send option?

When you select a phone contact and it is uploaded, if you choose to submit all the elements of the contact then EasyToken will ask you if the contact should be quick sent in the future. It just means whether we should ask you for which items in the contact should be sent again (it bypasses this page).

Troubleshooting Tips

The tokens not scanning easily.

Try cleaning the clear cover in front of the camera. This sometimes improves scanning. Try alternative lighting situations also. Different phones devices have varying levels of auto focus which can significantly alter performance.

How can I speed up the app?

Use a high speed wifi or 3g/4g network. EasyToken uses the internet to pass/connect information between the phones.

Check if you have "Upload Photos" set the preferences section. Turning this off will speed up the uploading of your contact.

Additionally, use the quicksend option on your contact.

We've tested the app on a variety of phones and observed the older the phone the slower the app works.

Beep/Vibrate

When a token is captured should the app make an audible beep and vibrate the your phone?

Quick Send

Should we enable the quick sending option on the contact upload.

Force Quick Send

If quick send is enabled, you can force Quick Send an all contacts that you may send.

Upload Photos

If a photo is attached to the contact record on the phone should we upload that?

Zoom Support

Should zoom be enabled, if so use the pinch gesture to zoom in/out.

Capture Button On Left

Useful if your a left handed person, you can turn this off. Which causes he 'Done' button to be on the left. Much more handy for navigation.

Reset Quick Send

This action will clear out all Quick Send preferences. If you had previously set Quick Send on for a contact and want to send only a subsection of the contact, choose this action. It will allow you select the parts of the contact to send again.

Select My Contact

If you need to change the contact that you first associated with the "My Contact" button.
